So after unloading truck and getting listing for this auction, we have this Large painting we didn’t realize (until now) it sold at same auction co(2012) (Burchard Galleries in St Pete) as the last painting! This one is signed by John Newton Howitt. If you go back to Invaluable.com you will find this exact same painting by this artist! Burchard Galleries estimated it back then (2012) at between 1k-2k.  Do some research!! I have seen where record price for his work was I believe just over 18k!! Actually, I’ve attached a photo of this info. 
He was an American painter from 1885-1958. And I did just find it under LiveAuctioneers where it sold in 2012 by Burchard Galleries in St Pete for 500.00; photo attached. 
This one has two areas of damage which I’m pointing to both. Still a very attractive painting with a great artist name. Frame is 29 1/2” X 32 1/2”.
