A Lifetime Through the Lens of Bill Marder by Hidden Treasure #39
A Bit About Bill & Estelle
Bill is a true Renaissance Man. To say he is a photographer is simply not enough. He captures the spirit of every photograph and evokes that spirit whenever you see an image. With his wife Estelle by his side, the couple has travelled around the world gathering memories and images at every stop. He is also a published writer, documentarian, lecturer and pioneer in photographic processes including inventing the Defusion Transfer Process utilizing paper negatives instead of film on which he has written a book and lectured. He has also been able to develop special inks so his photos would not fade as years go by, making them as vibrant years down the road and a keepsake "forever".
Bill has exhibited work across the country. His exhibits have been seen at The Appleton Museum of Art, Ocala Civic Theater, Brick City Center of the Arts (Ocala, FL), Gallery of Arts & Antiques (Gainesville, FL) and The Harrison Gallery (Williamstown, MA), His cameras have been displayed at the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution (Washington, D.C.) and MOMA (New York City). Some were even sold by Christie's Auction House by request!
His colors, so vibrant and subject matter so evocative that words (and photos) simply can't describe or do justice.
