If you've never tried baking or roasting with natural clay stoneware, you're in for a treat!  This is the Huey Chang Deep Dish Roasting Pan which could be used for a variety of foods - perfect for making roasts and vegetables in their natural juices!  A natural clay stoneware roaster is made so that it heats evenly, meaning the entire surface is warmed to cook your foods. Since they are also porous, a stoneware baker will absorb the flavors and seasonings over the years. The stoneware roaster will become discolored over the years - this is normal and means your roaster is seasoning itself properly.

Natural clay stoneware is porous and retains seasoning and flavors, similar to cast iron pans.  If properly cared for, your stoneware baker will last many years.  It is important to note you should never use dish detergent or soap of any kind - it will remove the natural seasoning process and it could also affect the flavors of your roasted foods due to the porous nature of stoneware.
