Hand crafted primitive pine cupboard.

The top that lifts if from one board.  It has had one small piece of wood split out.  It in no way diminishes the integrity of the primitive cupboard.
Antiques Road Show called this kind of thing a "No Harm Nick"

Old square nails , not seamed boards and are one piece of wood.

The character of a primitive  antique from the late 1700s or early  1800s is priceless.

This antique piece has one  door opening to reveal storage. 
 It has a lift top that has more storage space. 
Most likely a  wash bowl and water jug were  kept here in the days before the  bathroom existed.
