2006 FORD Explorer XLS with a 4.0L V-6 engine. 194k miles. Custom grill. New headlights/ housings. Recently painted. Reliable Vehicle. Runs great. (PLEASE READ BELOW AS WELL)
The truck runs great! I just took it to Orlando and back car shopping. The dealership insulted me with their trade in offer so I am auctioning it off instead! The explorer runs great. I drive it home to Wildwood from Ocala on occasion. I take it to live auctions in Deland and Dade City Regularly. It's a reliable vehicle. It is due for an OIL CHANGE. I replaced the transmission approximately 60k miles ago so the current transmission only has around 60k miles on it. I replaced the tires for $880 just last year. They all match and have 10k miles or less on them. I even had it painted approx 18 months ago because the hood was faded. I also just replaced the headlight housings this year with brand new ones because the headlights were yellowing from sun exposure and age. I replaced the battery about 6-8 months ago. Battery date code is 10/24. I put in an aftermarket Power Aucoustik DVD/CD Player a couple of years ago as well. I am throwing in a brand new set of floor mats.
The tint on the passenger window needs to be redone in the near future. The headliner was starting to sag near the windshield and I used headliner tacks from Amazon for a quick fix. Just a few weeks ago the AC started a new issue. The AC blows ICE cold but it only blows out of the defrost and the feet level vents. No matter what setting I change it to the AC will not blow out of the front facing vents so that needs to be fixed. The check engine light has been on for years due to an O2 Sensor. There is some imperfections in the headliner from moving and transporting stuff from estates or live auctions. The Plastic part of the key that connects to keyring broke so you may need to get a new key cut soon. The key works fine as is though. Please view all photos for more condition details.
