BACK IN THE 1800'S AND EARLY 1900'S, YOU WOULD HARVEST YOUR WHEAT AND OATS WITH A WINNOWER. YOU WOULD SWEEP IT BACK AND FORTH - KNOCK OFF THE GRAIN AND THEN PICK IT UP BY HAND! HER GRANDFATHER USED ONE AND SHE REMEMBERS SEEING HIM WEED THE FIELDS AS WELL.
