Absolutely magnificent early copper horse weathervane! I found it in a barn collecting dust. The owner said it came from an old farm(no longer there) in Leesburg years ago, and remembers being told by those folks that they got it in New England. It really doesn’t matter where it originally came from. What matters is the gorgeous condition this great Folk Art horse Weathervane is in! This horse has a zinc head which makes it even more valuable. You can see the seams in pics as to how it was soldered on. The patina is magnificent! No one got to it with a BB gun or shotgun! It is complete and all original. Being in the horse capital of the world and with the gorgeous horse farms around, you could name your price if you ever wanted to part with it! You won’t find another like it, guaranteed! He measures a whopping 31” from nose to tip of tail. A must have! I could not find any name on him.
