We know very little about this very early piece of Chinese bronze. Have not been able to find anything like it. This piece as pics show has a “fist” for the smoke; whatever is being smoked. I believe the large compartment is to dump the ashes. This piece is very heavy with excellent patina and design throughout including a dragon where the handle attaches. Very unique piece and could be a Grand Slam!
