This is a beautiful Turn of the Century Antique copper Sulky/Horse Weathervane. I just spent 3 weeks picking back in my home state of Maine & NH. I had been trying to purchase this particular weathervane for many years right out of the barn. Always was a “not for sale” answer until this trip back! You can’t get anymore Country and New England than this beauty! Excellent Patina, hollow body, perfect length, and overall excellent condition! NOT a repro! Please look carefully at each pic. Included is the original cast iron stand it came on, along with the directionals. There are no breaks in it that I could find. The horse/jockey is one piece and lifts off pole; and has a support bar. Total of 3 pieces. I may not have set up properly when taking the pics as the hind legs actually sit up above the bar and is even when together properly but at least you know everything is there and complete. It’s a real deal object of American Folk Art!
