This beautiful very early oil on canvas painting came from the same incredible estate in Jacksonville many items in this auction came from. The 92 yo gentleman told me it was in his fathers estate in Chicago. The painting is of Venice. Signed M Sykes of which you should research. You won’t find too many by him but when you do...Very expensive! The frame is as impressive as the painting! It’s very heavy, solid, and gorgeous! Not a break to be found in frame which is highly unusual. Small slit in canvas/old tape on back. Just a beautiful early work of art ready to hang. Frame measures 27 1/2” X 35”.
