Description:

This is an extraordinary piece! It’s in terrific working condition, with the original glass base. No chips or burrs, and the original red painted top is in remarkable condition. This dispenser was the predecessor to those slide-top types in use today. The Federal Tool Corp manufactured a number of items, but they are known for their syrup dispensers and their nut choppers. I researched their old catalogs as far back as I could find online and couldn’t find this version. There are some from around 1938-1940 similar with a bit less of what’s on top of this one, so you can see the progression to what we use today. Very nice piece. Great antique item!
