This very heavy piece came from the same great local estate as many of there antiques in auction. Please note…I was told( and wrote it down on paper) by the owner this is an early piece of Dedham pottery probably produced by Hugh Robertson. When I got it home I researched it and found all that info. I cannot however guarantee you it is this. I just don’t know. Unsigned( as she told me most was) but in great condition. The finish (glaze) along with the jug itself has a rough finish. In fact if I remember correctly the owner told me or mentioned something about “Volcanic” but not sure about any of it. It stands 12” tall. Very nice early piece for your collection. Again, this is what I was told but make no guarantees. You decide.
