Ok folks so here’s the deal. First...I’ve been picking and in the business 45 years straight now. NEVER have I found or had a better piece of Cast Iron as this! This is cream of the crop right here! 2nd, I just picked this beauty out of an attic/ great estate here in Ocala. It was a MESS! Heavy rust and pitting; tons of built up gunk, etc! I was so proud to have found it of course that I had to now Google best way to clean rusted cast iron!! I worked my butt off for two days soaking and scrubbing; then seasoning 3 times! How did I do?? I think it’s incredible! Third, I didn’t know enough about it but knew it was rare and worth some $. I researched (as you should). I was SHOCKED but Not surprised! This exact same skillet is bringing from 873.00-1400.00! And if you see the one that sold for 873.00 on Ebay( plus another 50.00 for shipping), I’m going to say mine looks nicer and is in better condition! You decide for yourself! I’ll tell you this skillet sits nice and flat on my counter, is very heavy, is free of cracks and breaks, and is incredible! Almost don’t want to sell it but I can’t eat all those scrambled eggs it will hold! Due to my find, the doubt in my mind I’ll find another, I am putting a starting bid on it of 650.00. I don’t like doing this in my auctions and have cut back on doing so..But sometimes there’s some things I get attached to and will hold onto.
