Movin On Estate Sales

The lady I got the last several items from purchased this piece in the 70’s from an antique shop In Pennsylvania. I believe it’s signed Johnson one minute and then Salonson the next. I can’t make heads or tails of it. Hopefully you will. It is very heavy. There was a thin piece of old felt on bottom. I took it off as I wanted to see if there was a screw, etc, coming up from bottom. There is none. Smooth metal. Just another very nice item being added into this auction. Research that signature!
