You better have help moving this piece while empty. You Won’t move it when full!! This is about the strongest, most solid & heavy Hope chest/blanket chest I’ve ever owned! I’m not positive of wood but guessing black walnut. It features 3 drawers at bottom. Also, inside you have the normal small lift top compartment for smalls But...there is a hidden section under that with a sliding board as pics show. Heavy duty carvings and brass decorations throughout. There is one hook missing on right side of latch as pic shows. Should be an easy fix. Still latches nicely. The four legs come off if you wanted flat to floor which is how I found it. Measures 44” X 17” deep X 20 1/2” tall with legs on. There are a couple dings here n there but normal for age and movement.
