This coin is absolutely 100% AUTHENTIC. 1975 was the first production of the Krugerrand. It literally set the new modern standard for GOLD coins. This was purchased recently out of a local estate.
These coins are 22K gold but are heavier than a actual troy ounce to make up for the lack of 24K. This make up of the additional weight is to insure one FULL TROY ounce of .999 gold.
