These beautifully hand carved chairs feature a double-headed eagle splat. This double-headed eagle is the emblem of the Byzantine Empire & the Greek Orthodox Church. It symbolizes the unity of church & state and the Empire's dominion over the East & the West. These rustic, folksy low-built wooden chairs feature a woven rush or cord seat.
