Dr. John Edward Boysen was born on September 12, 1912 in Pelican Rapids, Otter Tail, Minnesota to Peter William Boysen and Ellen Elberg Boysen. On September 15, 1937 he married Cordula Agatha "Cordy" Klancke. He died August 9, 2010 in Ocala, Marion, Florida. He served in the Air Force during WWII and Korea. He was a man of service and a humanitarian. He was one of the founders of Hospice of Marion County. "He was obsessed with helping people," said Boysen's daughter.
