CB24 | 2003 Membership Stein "Historical Advertising 1936" | This 10" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. Celebrating the history of Anheuser-Busch's advertising, this stein features the brewery's 1936 "Make This Test" ad. This campaign challenged beer drinkers to try Budweiser for five days, versus the sweeter style beers, prohibition bootleggers had popularized. The ads were such a success, the brewery and Budweiser soon became industry leaders, a position they still hold today. The pewter lid features a raised 4-sided 1¼" tall ceramic triangle with an A&Eagle on each side. The pewter thumbrest has the dates 1876 and 1936.
