Just Right Estate Sales

These Alaskan Carvings were purchased when owner lived in Alaska.  Each of the figurines are made from soapstone. Carved faces are of “old” ivory.  Old Ivory is from Ivory found in the tundra and is from Mammoth tusks, at least 10,000 years old.  You can tell by the color of the ivory itself since it is light brown in color.  Mammoth ivory can be light brown to dark brown in color depending on the minerals in the soil where it is found.
