Ok folks…I’m kinda sad as I want to keep this stunning chest!!! If I brought in my house I’d have to sleep in the yard! This truly is a remarkable piece! First off, it’s extremely solid, Heavy, and Condition commensurate with age. 1814!! From Germany. The inlay throughout; front and ends is crazy good. I personally love the two birds and stencil above of German writing and date. This chest is extremely clean. The hand forged handles & Huge strap hinges are nice and all original. The lock is original and even has the working key. Locks right up easy. Check out all pics and then tell me this isn’t one of the nicest antiques we’ve ever offered for the first time! Even has original paper labels on back. This would be a super nice piece for use as a coffee table IN A BUG ROOM, or hallway/Entry storage. I would advise against using as a toy box!! Cover is heavy and wouldn’t want to see a child getting crushed. Get your bids in early on this fantastic piece. You will NEVER find another this nice!!!
