This wonderful working early Swiss music box was recently dug out from a great local estate. The toughest part (for me) is trying to come up with a maker. Most when researching have a paper label on inside lid. This one doesn’t. I can’t find a name or number anywhere. All I can tell you is I gave it a few wind ups and started playing. Beautiful sound. The cylinder is brass. Has change/repeat knobs and stop/play. The case appears to be walnut and is inlaid. In all cases of researching trying to find more info on it you can be sure it’s Swiss and from the mid-late 1800’s. Because I don’t know anything about them I can’t tell you how many “airs” it has. (How many songs it plays). If you’d love to add a great working & sounding quality music box this one is for you.
