I believe this piece to be carved from Balsa wood. Very light for size so would be best in sunroom or a place where it wouldn’t end up in your neighbors pool. Definitely a lot of work and appears to be all one piece of wood. The name or initials of CAP are carved in on belly of bird. And I have the feeling it stands for Charles A Prescott from West Rockport Maine as it came from same estate as next lot I list. In reading his obituary, he was a decoy carver. 

We will work with you if pickup can’t be made on Thursday. Friday (12:00-3:00) is the only other time until I get back from Vacation; about 2 weeks. Will hold for you to pick up (or ship) if we don’t hear from you by 2:00 pm on Friday but payment still must be made. Thank you.
