Unique, rare trunk. Designed with a mechanism that allows one end to slide open, rather than the top simply lifting on hinges. Allows for easier access to contents. Most likely a wardrobe steamer trunk, which were primarily made between the late 1800s and 1920s. These trunks were designed to hold clothing and were popular during the peak of steamship and railroad travel. 35” x 20 “ x 14” including wheels. KK
