This old rug is not thick. Can carry it pretty easy under one arm. The main part of rug is great. The borders have wear as pics show. The folks it came from had it in their farmhouse in Michigan for years. It was a family heirloom. They used in their home in Florida and put the worst looking end under the couch. No signs of pets and no smell. Nice early rug overall.
