Originally designed as a Japanese tea table for four people, this wonderful antique could also double as a round coffee table.  Measures 36" in diameter and stands 13" tall.  The Chabudai table is still found in traditional Japanese homes to this day wherein family members sit on floor cushions for the traditional tea ceremony called Chanoyu.  The type of wood in this wonderful antique cannot be confirmed as Kadaki or Cypress.  This piece dates back to the 1950-1960s.  This Chabudai is simply amazing!
